A Quiet, Steady Resource for Retirement Clarity
Everquiet was built on one straightforward idea: that people heading into retirement deserve access to clear, organised information — presented without pressure, jargon, or any personal financial agenda.
Back to HomeBuilt Around One Principle: Clarity First
Everquiet began as a straightforward response to a common frustration noticed around Kuching — that many people approaching retirement age found their paperwork deeply confusing, their records scattered across years of employment, and the language used in official documents far removed from everyday speech.
We opened our doors on Jalan Padungan with a narrow, deliberate scope: to offer structured, educational sessions that help individuals understand how their retirement records are generally organised in Malaysia, and to support them in putting those records in order for themselves. Nothing more. We do not hold ourselves out as financial advisers, and we refer participants to appropriate official bodies for any decisions that fall within those domains.
Over time, our programme has been refined based on direct feedback from participants across Sarawak — local teachers nearing retirement, longstanding civil servants, small-business owners, and others who simply wanted their documents to make sense before they spoke with official agencies. The result is a body of work we are genuinely steady about: modest in its claims, consistent in its delivery, and focused where it matters.
Our Mission
To make retirement-related information more accessible and easier to organise for Malaysians — through sessions that respect participants' intelligence, honour their pace, and stay clearly within the boundaries of education rather than advice.
Our Values
- Honesty about scope. We are clear about what we do and do not do in every session.
- Respect for participants. People come to us at a significant life stage. We treat that with care.
- Plain language always. No jargon, no assumptions, no unnecessary complexity.
- Steady improvement. We regularly review our reference materials against current official sources.
The Everquiet Team
A small, deliberate team with complementary backgrounds in public education, record management, and participant support.
Lim Teck Seng
With a background in public sector administration and adult education, Teck Seng develops the core session content and ensures reference materials stay current against official Malaysian sources.
Nadia Razif
Nadia leads the Document Organisation Workshop sessions, drawing on her experience in records management and her practical knowledge of common filing challenges faced by individuals at different stages of their working lives.
Azlan Jumat
Azlan handles session scheduling, follow-up queries, and the factual question support element of the Complete Retirement Information Set programme. He is often the first point of contact for prospective participants.
Our Standards and Approach
These are the operating principles that shape how we design sessions, handle participant information, and stay within appropriate boundaries.
Source Accuracy
All reference materials are checked against information from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF/KWSP), PERKESO, the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP), and other relevant Malaysian agencies before each programme cycle.
Personal Data Protection
We operate in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). We do not retain copies of participants' documents, and personal details shared during sessions are handled with care and respect.
Scope Boundary Discipline
No session facilitator at Everquiet holds themselves out as a financial planner or licensed adviser. When questions fall outside our educational scope, we direct participants clearly to appropriate official channels.
Regular Content Reviews
Reference sheets, checklists, and orientation materials are reviewed at regular intervals. Where official information changes, we update our materials before the content is used in participant sessions.
Participant Feedback Loop
At the end of each programme, participants are invited to provide written feedback. This is read and discussed internally, and used to shape session improvements on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Respectful Pacing
Sessions are structured to be manageable rather than rushed. Participants are not pressured to move faster than they are comfortable with, and questions are treated as a welcome part of the process.
Retirement Record Education in Kuching, Sarawak
Malaysia's retirement framework draws from several distinct sources — among them contributions to the Employees Provident Fund (KWSP), eligibility for pension schemes under the Public Service Pension Division, and other employer-specific arrangements. For many working Malaysians, these structures have operated quietly in the background for decades. Approaching retirement often brings the first real encounter with the paperwork that has accumulated.
Everquiet addresses this specific moment. Our Orientation to Retirement Records session is designed for those who are beginning to look at what they have — and who need a clear, straightforward introduction to where their records come from, what they typically contain, and where the relevant official bodies can be found. The session is educational in nature, covering general structures rather than personal circumstances.
The Document Organisation Workshop addresses a practical need that sits alongside understanding: getting your own records into a form you can actually work with. Many participants arrive with folders full of statements, notices, and correspondence from across many years. Our facilitator works alongside participants to develop a simple, maintainable filing system suited to their specific combination of records.
For those who want a more complete experience, the Retirement Information Set brings both elements together — structured education about the stages of retirement and practical record organisation — along with preparation support for visits to official agencies. Participants receive a personal binder and access to follow-up support for factual questions once the programme is complete.
All of this takes place in our Kuching office, with sessions available Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings. We welcome enquiries by phone or email, and are happy to explain what each programme involves before any commitment is made.
